SHIRAZ, Fars Province An earthquake measuring 4.1 degrees on the open-ended Richter scale hits the city of lamerd in this southern province at 09:34 hours local time (0604 GMT) on Monday. The seismological base of Geophysics Institute of Tehran University registered the epicenter of the quake somewhere in the vicinity of the city of lamerd, in southern part of Fars Province. According to the report, the quake inflicted no damage to property and left no casualties.
